Find a workable way forward — and test it.

Focused problem solving and improvement for persistent challenges, inefficient workflows and ideas that need evidence before further investment.

Consultancy / Problem Solving

When you need it

An established approach is not producing results. A workflow takes too long, a difficult problem remains unresolved or an opportunity needs testing. Your team may have plenty of ideas but need structure, time and facilitation to turn them into action.

What could we work on?

  • Delays, rework and unclear handovers in a process.

  • A persistent product, technical or service challenge.

  • An early concept or proposition that needs testing with users.

  • A development team struggling to choose between possible solutions.

  • A practical improvement that requires several teams to work together.

How I work

I bring the right people together to map the situation, distinguish symptoms from underlying issues and agree the question we need to solve. We challenge assumptions and develop practical alternatives.

Depending on the challenge, we may use research, a focused workshop, a structured sprint or prototyping and testing. A sprint can help a team move through mapping, exploring options, building a prototype and testing it within an agreed timeframe. This can apply to physical products and services as well as software.

I facilitate the work throughout, refocusing discussion, sustaining motivation and helping people reach decisions when energy or confidence falls. We use what we learn to refine the approach and agree what happens next.

What you leave with

Depending on the agreed scope:

  • A clearer understanding of the problem and the options available.

  • A tested solution or proposition, or an improved way of working.

  • Evidence about what works and what needs further investigation.

  • Prioritised implementation steps with clear ownership.

Relevant experience: applying sprints beyond software

For a Frozen food industry leader, I applied a structured sprint approach to a physical-product context, using mapping, prototyping and testing to support practical progress and adoption.

Example from previous professional experience.

How we can work together

A facilitated workshop, a two-day or five-day sprint where appropriate, or a broader improvement assignment with research and follow-through. We choose the format around the problem and the evidence needed.

What needs a different approach?
